It seems that Promise is to greedy to put out a proper driver for Win 7. You need to email tech support and ask for it. Hey, someone told me when it comes to driver issue, it is only the third party manufacture you can count on, it is their work to write new drivers compatible to the latest OS. Windows is much more expensive than a HDD anyway. I have Windows 7- 32 bit OS.

Wednesday, January 18, 2: I installed it myself and i am having no problems. And since promise ultra 133 tx2 company decided to lay me off You could try running a bit release client for free untill you get a new job and you’re able to make the step to 64 bit.
Only downside is that it is unsigned so you need to disable driver signing everything you boot up. Windows 7 Hardware Compatibility.
I also tried what bajafreak suggested but to no avail.
However, replacing the several HDD’s is not a bad case, due to a ‘big’ reduced power consumption. There is a x64 driver avaliable.

Hi all I have Windows 7- 32 bit OS. Why does the Compatibility Center list this card as compatible? This product don’t work with Windows Vista 64 Bit, promise support replys that no rx2 is available or will be developed for this product.

I finally got a response from Promise saying that the card is too old and that there are no plans to make a Win 7 compatible driver. Promise Tested operating systems: It says partly working on my cpu in response 2. Promise still lists the Promise ultra 133 tx2 TX2 as a “current product”, not an archived one.
